Do you love action? Do you have a hard time playing conservatively when you play online poker games? Is it costing you money? Here is one idea on how to cure yourself of playing too fast and too loose- play free poker games like crazy and get it out of your system.

Online poker computer games are fun, of course – otherwise you wouldn't play them. But they might be costing you way more than they need to. If you are a losing playing (in terms of losing money when you play) you may be playing too loose or playing out of your stake level, both of which may be curable when you play poker games online for free.

Free poker games are often snubbed by serious poker players because they feel that unless money is on the line the players don't take the game seriously, and thus what is the point in playing? When they sit down to play a poker game they want to win – even if it is points and not cash – and online poker games give them the chance to win on a frequent basis. But to win playing an online poker computer game you have to be able to use restraint and patience, and if you find your are shy of those you need a fix. Luckily the fix isn't to stop – you can still log on to play your poker game, just play poker games that are free for a while.

The idea is this – when you play free poker games you can take advantage of the very thing that “serious” poker players hate – the ability to go absolutely wild when you play without a care in the world. Who cares if you win or lose, right? Go nuts, bet constantly, call with the worst hand, play out of position. You are going to lose, and lose a lot, but hopefully you will get that wild streak out of your system so that the next time you log on to play online poker games for cash you can exercise some restraint.

When you are seeking out an online poker computer game, play to play your poker game while fulfilling your every urge. Play to play poker games like a wild man and don't worry about the results. You are not playing for money, so you are safe to indulge your ever urge. Want to draw to an inside straight? Want to push with seven, deuce off suit in a game of no limit Texas Hold Em? Go for it.

This article may seem to encourage the worst kind of player, but really this is a conscious effort to improve a player's game. One of the biggest hurdles for an up and coming poker player is to curb those wild play urges. In this fashion online poker games that are free to play become like warm ups for an athlete. Or perhaps they are more like splurges for a dieter, getting the candy urges out of the way so the real dieting can begin.

When you next find your poker computer game going awry, and realize you can't stop yourself from calling with the worst hand just on the slim chance you will win out on the river, it is time to seek a cure. Consider free poker games as your medicine. Set out to compete in play poker games like a bad player, so that when you put money on the line you can play poker games like a pro.
