Poker Players Ask to be Taxed

A rally at the US Capital saw poker players asking their government to tax them. The poker players are hoping to convince the US government to legalize and regulate online poker. They are attempting to show that poker laws that support the online poker industry can be beneficial to the bottom line of running the country. As one sign carried by a poker player said, the general sentiment of the 50 or so participants was “Ease the Debt, Let Us Bet.” The rally was run by the Poker Players Alliance.

FOLD - To decline to call a bet, thus dropping out of a hand.

A typical division of the jackpot will give the losing hand 50 %, the winning hand 25 %, and the other players at the table share the remaining 25 % of the Jackpot.
