More than one poker room bore the brunt of one poker robber's actions in Las Vegas. A man charged with robbing the Bellagio may have also robbed the Suncoast poker room around the same time. The 29 year old son of a Las Vegas municipal court Judge robbed the Bellagio on Dec. 14 wearing a motorcycle helmet and making off with $1.5 million in poker chips. The Suncoast poker room was also hit for $20k in poker chips the week before by someone also wearing a motorcycle helmet.

The crackdown on online poker by the US government may have an impact on the live action tournaments of the World Series of Poker. The WSOP has acted to comply with the US by removing any advertising or logos of online poker rooms. While this has helped avoid any confrontations with US officials for the series itself, poker players who have a lot of money tied up in online poker accounts may not be able to afford the buy ins of the WSOP, which range up to $10,000 and more.
