A slot machine company is making the move to online poker and gaming. The Nevada-based company IGT purchased Entraction Holdings. Entraction Holdings is a Swedish gamging company that runs the world's 12th largest online poker network. This could mean that IGT will be able to have its own poker room, or more than one. With the state of US online poker it is unlikely that the IGT poker site would be based in the United States. Entraction hosts poker sites along with casino games, bingo, and sports betting.

A new poker site has announced that poker players will be able to see each other when they play online. PokerView is a poker site that is built around the idea of using webcams while playing poker. Poker players will need to have the right equipment, and if they do they will be able to add a new level of poker playing to online poker. With PokerView poker players can interact just as they do in real life poker, and possibly use their tell reading skills as well.
