The final table is set at the PokerStars European Poker Tour Berlin. Ben “NeverScaredB” Wilinofsky will lead the final eight when play returns on Sunday.

 

The iPad will soon have another poker game for poker players to enjoy. The new game for the iPad will be called Poker 88. The online poker game is from Code Redman and is their third card game. Poker 88 is a mobile game version of a popular video poker game found in many casinos by the same name. By betting on whether or not you will get a poker hand over the course of two deals you can win or lose chips in Poker 88. The previous games from Code Redman were along the same line, called Pontoon 88 and Blackjack 88.

A new poker app has been anounced for the iPhone. The Texas Hold'em Poker game will be playable on the iPad as well. Created by Viaden Mobile, the game is being touted as more than a game but also a social networking tool. Players can log on to the online poker game via their Facebook accounts or Game Center. Players wil have the option of playing in four or eight player games with live players over Wi Fi, something that is often not the case for other online poker games for mobile devices.

Some of the greatest battles in WSOP poker took place at the main event final table, and the WSOP is recreating those matches for the fans. Poker pros will meet up to see if the results will be the same as in the classic battles. The poker games are called Main Event Rematches, and the first features Sammy Farha, who lost to Chris Moneymaker in the 2003 World Series of Poker. The poker game will be played in a best two out of three match up. The second match will be between Phil Hellmuth and Johnny Chan, who faced off in 1989.

In breaking news from Washington, DC, the nation’s capital has apparently become the first jurisdiction to legalize intrastate online poker. According to a Wall Street Journal article published on Friday, “The city council approved a budget last year allowing the district’s lottery to operate a poker website accessible only inside district boundaries. City officials say the window for Congress to raise objections to the law was due to expire Thursday, allowing it to take effect.”
