The latest winner of the European Masters of Poker is Jukka Koskela. Koskela is a poker player from Finland who beat a 309 player field. His win meant €72,615 to his bottom line, the first place prize for the €1,100 buy-in event. The EMP Lisbon poker game was played at the Casino Estoril in Portugal. Second place went to Asger Boye for €43,569 while third went to Robert Svedin for €28,428. Rounding out the top five were Patric Mattson with €17,304 for fourth and fifth to Nikola Prijovic for €13,596.

The poker TV show High Stakes Poker recently added Johnny Chan to its mix. Johnny Chan is a the winner of the 1987 and 1988 World Series of Poker main events. He nearly made a third victory in a row but he lost the 1989 World Series of Poker main event to fellow poker pro Eric Siedel. Chan joined a number of successful poker pros such as Deavid Peat, Andrew Robl, and Antonio “The Magician” Esfandiari. High Stakes Poker is a high buy in cash game.

The latest winner in the Challenge Durrrr promotion may not have been a winner after all. The Challenge Durrrr promo is part of online poker room Full Tilt Poker's line up. The news came suddenly at the poker room as the front runner in a competition to face Durrrr was mysteriously removed from play. A Russian player by the name of “svetamillion” was the front runner, but he was replaced with second finsiher “Nofx Fan” with no explanation. Comments from Full Tilt Poker indicated that while the player was certainly disqualified, it apparently had nothing to do with the competition itself.

According to Wicked Chops, Full Tilt Poker could become the next online poker room to partner with a land-based casino. Wicked Chops explained in an article posted late last week, “We’ve recently heard from a number of Las Vegas and online poker insiders that Full Tilt Poker, the second largest U.S.-facing online operator, is in talks to form a strategic alliance with Station Casinos.”
