Poker players will have to wait to play in the 2011 SCOOP. The popular online poker series will not start in April but instead in May. Many were expecting the Spring Championship of Online Poker to start sooner than later. There will be $45 million in guaranteed prize money available. The first two tournaments will have over $5 million in guarantees alone. Like all SCOOPs this one will have three tournaments in one for each event, a low, medium and high stakes event. The first event will have a $22 buy in, a $215 buy in and a $2,100 buy in.

Online poker player XWINK lost big recently. XWINK and other high stake poker pros compete regularly online at poker rooms like PokerStars. The poker pro lost a massive $878k over the course of 1,959 hands. The games took place over $300/$600 Heads-Up PLO tables to two poker pros, Dan “jungleman12” Cates and NoParasan. XWINK came to prominence recently when he beat Isuldur1 for a large amount last week, and as his idendity is still a mystery as Isuldur1’s once was, many are thinking that XWINK will be the next big thing in online poker personalities.

Victor Ramdin won the Big Event’s Main Event on Thursday at the Bicycle Casino, defeating friend and fellow PokerStars pro Joe Hachem heads-up to collect a first place prize of $500,000. Ramdin bested a field of 417 players and nearly went wire-to-wire for the title after amassing a sizable chip lead on Day 2 and entering the final table second in chips.
