It’s the year of Erik Seidel. With his latest NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship win, he’s overtaken the top spot on the All Time Money List. Also in tonight’s Nightly Turbo, the MiniFTOPS is under way, and more.

 

Even though the event was no longer affiliated with online poker room PokerStars the Bike poker game was a popular hit. The Big Event at The Bicycle Casino drew 417 poker players. There was a $1,921,327 prize pool created thanks to the five thousand dollar prize pool. There will be a half million dollar prize for first place. After the first two days of the event there were 225 player left to compete for the cash prizes. The event was going to be part of the North American Poker Tour but PokerStars pulled the branding at the last minute.

The 2011 NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship is played out and Eric Seidel has done well. After facing Chris Moneymaker in a heads up finale, Seidel emerged the victor. Five poker players fell before the poker pro in his quest to win this poker game. Moneymaker earned $300,000 for second place, losing two straight matches in the best 2 out of 3 format. Last year Seidel faced Annie Duke in the final match and lost. This year he wins $750,000, to go on top of the $3.59 million he won in the first two months of this year.

PRAETORIANER won the jackpot for $479,101 while his opponent won $239,550 and the other players at the table each collected $34,221.
