The WSOPC event in Palm Beach was won by John Riordan. The World Series of Poker Circuit event was played at the Palm Beach Kennel Club. The poker player overcame a huge field of 712 players in order to win. The poker game took place over four days and Riordan won $210,180 for first place. Riordan is a 19 year-old poker pro and is now the youngest competitor ever to win a World Series of Poker Circuit event. Riordan won a seat to but will not be able to play in the Las Vegas $1 million WSOPC National Championship freeroll as he is not 21 years old.

An online poker room pro just had her autobiography published. Vicky Coren, poker pro for poker site PokerStars, tells about her life in the book. The book was going to be called A Love Affair with Poker but was instead named For Richer, For Poorer: Confessions of a Player. The book talked about the poker pro and her journey and also covers a bit of how poker became such a bit hit in the nineties and to today. Coren has had a number of large success in the poker world both in live poker and online poker. The book is published by Canongate

Lost in the shuffle of the L.A. Poker Classic and this weekend’s National Heads-Up Poker Championship was the finale of the World Poker Tour (WPT) Celebrity Invitational, which occurred on Wednesday night. In the end, World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner Davidi Kitai came away with a $100,000 first place prize and his first WPT title.
