The UB.com Bad Beat Jackpot has officially reached astronomical heights. The prize pool, which will eventually be claimed when a player’s quad eights or better are cracked, currently stands at over $1 million. It took about an hour for the final $20,000 to tick away towards the seven-figure mark and players are logged into the site en masse trying to claim their share.

Online poker pro Viktor Blom had another massive win recently. Blom is known as Isuldur1 and routliny takes on massive high stakes with other online poker players. This time it was a $620k victory against Scott “urnotindangr” Palmer. They played nearly 750 hands at online poker room PokerStars, with Blom winning in the end. There were playing a game of $50/$100 PLO, but as there was a mandatory 3-bet in place the stakes were effectivly $300/$900. Blom’s tally is up over $800k at PokerStars, a first since he joined the site.

Full Tilt Poker recently introduced changes to its software that streamlined many processes players face when logged into the site. In addition, Full Tilt announced an adjustment to its policies regarding Full Tilt Points (FTPs).

Online poker room Everest Poker recently expanded their pro poker team. Four poker pros have joined Team Everest. The four were former Live the Dream winners. Javier Martinez, Koen de Bakker, Tobias Wagner, and Leonard Truche all beat out 200 other players to win a spot with the online poker room.The players hail from Spain, Netherlands, Germany, and France. The online poker team also includes Steven Van Zadeloff and Maria Maceiras, as well as Valentine Messina. The entire team will be representing the online poker room at various venues during the year.

The results from the major Sunday tournaments on Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars, with “JustPushIt” taking home the biggest prize of the night for winning the PokerStars Sunday Million.

 

Taking down $1.1 million from FTOPS XIX’s Main event is just the latest accomplishment for poker pro Blair Hinkle. The young gun who goes by the online name of “Blur5f6″ and originally hails from Kansas City, also won a World Series of Poker bracelet in 2008 in the $2,000 No Limit Hold’em event for over a half-million dollars. On top of that, he also won the 2010 WSOP Circuit Event Championship in Council Bluffs.
