Federated Sports and Gaming has announced the schedule for its first season. The league, which features former UB.com pro Annie Duke as its Commissioner, will hold four preliminary tournaments along with a high-stakes $20,000 buy-in, rake-free Main Event. Yes, rake-free. The tournaments will run during the last four months of the year, with the Championship Event taking place in early 2012.

Online poker room Betfair Poker is offering a pro deal to its players. The $100,000 sponsorship deal is part of the Grand Series of Poker. The poker game series starts at the end of this month and offers the sponsorship deal to that poker player who can score a hat trick of GSOP games. The online poker room will pay out $100,000 worth of buy-ins to the first player to finish in the top three of any three of 15 GSOP events, and a $15,000 entry into the 2011 World Series of Poker Main Event for the first five who final table three events.
