Daniel Negreanu isn’t about to let the game of poker pass him by. The Team PokerStars Pro member from Canada wrote in his blog this week that he plans to put in a lot of volume on the world’s leading online poker site in order to keep up with the “younger players.” He may even make a run at SuperNova.
The Main Event of the 2011 Aussie Millions kicked off Sunday in Melbourne, Australia, and plenty of your favorite pros came out to play. The $100,000 Challenge also finished up, with Sam Trickett taking home first-place prize money of AUD$1,525,000.
There was a recent article in the Washington Post about a high school in a Virginia suburb that formed a poker club for its students. The article notes, “[The club] has quickly become one of the most popular extracurricular activities at the Falls Church high school.” Color me astonished.

Mike “1GOLEAFSGOEH1” Leah took down Event #14 of the UB.com Online Championship, or UBOC, on Saturday. Leah stormed through the field of the $215 No Limit Hold’em Turbo Triple Chance tournament that doled out a short stack to each player. Leah’s victory was worth an even $26,000 and he edged out P0KERCCINI heads-up.
