Last week, Friedberg asked viewers for their feedback regarding the tournament series in the United States. All of the feedback received was in line with Friedberg’s opinion, which was the buy-ins should be lowered and the structures shortened in order to improve turn-outs.
Moving on to the Reid bill, Friedberg asks the audience for their feedback on something, “Would you like to see the Harry Reid bill have been passed knowing there was going to be at least a 2 year dead period in the USA without online poker?” Those that want to respond to the question can contact Friedberg via twitter @JonFriedberg or email at jonfriedberg@gmail.com.
Friedberg then talks about both Annie Duke and Phil Hellmuth leaving UB.com, while Prahlad Friedman essentially takes their place as the front man of the site. Friedberg admits that he didn’t see any of this coming, but that he couldn’t be more excited because he is involved with UB.com. He feels this moves shows that UB.com is looking to the future and that they are putting new faces to market the brand.
The next segment brings on six-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner Layne Flack. The two discuss topics such as Flack’s nickname of “Back 2 Back” and the bracelets he’s won during his illustrious poker career. The two also discuss Flack’s party days, “You know like anything it wears out. The party days, when I first hit town, I hit every club and every party. I thought I’m from Montana and this is Vegas… this is nice! But it got out of control for sure. But now it’s definitely under control and I’m more balanced.”
The interview continues on into Part 2 of this video.
