On Monday night just before the start of heads-up play in the 2010 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event, former Main Event champ Dan Harrington and eight-time bracelet winner Erik Seidel were inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame. The two members of the Class of 2010 received a commemorative trophy and spoke for about five minutes apiece to the sold out house at the Penn and Teller Theater. The entire event took about a half hour.
Ke$ha is blasting inside of the Penn and Teller Theater here at the Rio in Las Vegas and we’re just an hour and a half away from the start of heads-up play in the 2010 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event. Poker News Daily rolled up to the off-Strip hotel around 5:30pm local time and spotted PokerStars pro Dennis Phillips in the hallway wearing his signature red baseball cap.
Jonathan Duhamel enters heads up play at the WSOP Main Event final table against John Racener with a six to one chip lead. Duhamel entered the November Nine as the prohibitive favorite with a commanding chip lead, but during the course of the night would be overtaken by both Joseph Cheong and Michael Mizrachi. However, Duhamel stay aggressive while playing big pots with big hands and was able to get a huge chip lead with play down to just two players. The winner of the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event will take in over $8.9 million while the second place finisher will take in $5.55 million.
