Season 2 of the PokerStars.net-powered “Million Dollar Challenge” debuted on Sunday flanking the NFL on FOX. Longtime sports commentator Chris Rose served as the host and also tackled play-by-play duties, while Michelle Nunes dished out details on a special online freeroll.
The record books were re-written over the weekend, as 1,042 players turned out for the World Poker Tour’s (WPT) Borgata Poker Open in Atlantic City, the largest WPT field ever assembled. Last year, the tournament, which sports a $3,500 buy-in, drew 1,018 players, meaning that attendance this year was up 2%.
The 2010 PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker is into its second week of action. Three events concluded on Sunday including the $25,000 High Roller Heads Up event, check out the results.
