It’s Wednesday here on the Daily Deal! We have some great stories from the world of poker, including the latest action from the two-thousand ten World Series of Poker. Plus, we’ll check out the latest political efforts from the Poker Players Alliance and tell you how you can win your way to watch the November Nine in sunny Las Vegas for free.
With regular hosts Laura Lane on vacation and Bernard Lee in Las Vegas, ESPN Poker Editor Andrew Feldman assumed the helm of “Inside Deal.” The ESPN.com poker news show sponsored by PokerStars welcomed Barry Greenstein.
We crashed the CardRunners Happy Hour from Stripburger in Las Vegas and took some video of the festivities on hand. Our designated representative for the video is none other than “Jeff218″ who takes us on a tour of the swanky Vegas eatery and introduces us to some of CR’s members and instructors. Those who make an appearance include “CPAR1″, “Knox828″ and “JungleMan” who is seen seriously enjoying is lemonade. This was the second of three free CardRunners happy hours for all their members and provided an open bar and food for all who came, so in other words, it was one heck of a good time. The video was taken about an hour into the party so many of those appearing on camera had enjoyed a free cocktail (or six).
Vlademar Kwaysser sealed a second bracelet for his country, Hungary, this year, in Event #38 after he bested Matt Marafioti at the final table. Bracelet winners J.C. Tran and Annette Obrestad will be keeping the players on their toes in Event #39…
UB.com‘s Tiffany Michelle turned the big two-six last week and to celebrate, she had a Friday night of dinner and dancing at Crystals, part of the new CityCenter development in Las Vegas.
Full Tilt Poker pro Annette “Annette_15” Obrestad is within inches of her second World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet. Obrestad famously took down the 2007 WSOP Europe Main Event, the first ever running of the £10,000 buy-in tournament, and banked £1 million. She’s making her Las Vegas WSOP debut this year and a bracelet win would be the icing on the cake for the 21 year-old.
