Poker News Daily: Thanks for joining us. Tell us how you’re feeling headed into the 2010 World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas?
With almost half of the 57 events at this year’s World Series of Poker (WSOP) either completed or in action, Team UB.com has been battling some early WSOP bad luck. With many in the stable in action this weekend, fortunes may be turning for its members.
Action from the 2010 Aussie Millions AUD $100,000 High Roller Event continued on GSN on Saturday night at 9:00pm ET. The hour-long show, presented by Full Tilt Poker, included a final table stacked with sponsored pros of the world’s second largest online poker site.
Day 16 of the World Series of Poker is in the books, and it saw John “Tex” Barch and Richard Ashby both take home WSOP gold bracelets. The ladies event, and the six-handed limit tournament are both nearing a champion, and big name pros came out in…
The largest payday of Saturday’s action at the 2010 World Series of Poker (WSOP) went to John “Tex” Barch, who topped the field in Event #20, a $1,500 Pot Limit Omaha tournament. Barch, who made the final table of the 2005 WSOP Main Event, cashed for $256,000 and earned his first gold bracelet.
UB.com’s Phil Hellmuth earned his second cash of the 2010 World Series of Poker (WSOP) this week, but his bid for a 12th bracelet fell short in the $5,000 No Limit Hold’em event (#17). Hellmuth, in typical fashion, Tweeted throughout the tournament about big laydowns and greats reads he made, but ultimately fell short: “Out 50th in NL Hold’em, was an ugly ugly run of cards… Too bad I played the cards, shoulda played my opponents more and made it happen.”
In Event #18 of the 2010 World Series of Poker (WSOP), $2,000 Limit Hold’em, 2009 November Niner Eric Buchman held a slim lead over Hansu Chu when 10-handed action began, but Buchman was able to extend that lead in the early going by eliminating Daniel Quach in tenth place.
