Greg “Fossilman” Raymer Interview with Bernard Lee – Part 1 of 2
In the debut of our new segment called “The Hijack Seat with Bernard Lee” we welcome 2004 WSOP Main Event Champion Greg Raymer. Raymer and Lee are old friends who talk about the start of the 2010 World Series of Poker and Fossilman’s perspective of how the spectacle of the event has grown since he won it all six years ago. He also talks about things he makes sure he has on him to make sure he remains focused at the tables as well as other insightful topics.
Bernard Lee is a guest columnist at Poker News Daily in addition to being a part of the broadcast team at ESPN’s Inside Deal. He is also the official spokesperson for Foxwoods Casino and will be checking in during the entire World Series of Poker and bringing exclusive interviews with some of the top names in the world of poker.

Poker terminology:
- OPENER - The player who opens the betting, especially in draw poker. A hand may have no openers, in which case it is PASSED OUT, i.e., new hands are dealt.
- BOARD - The exposed cards in Hold'em and stud. Also BOARD CARDS.
- OPEN-ENDED STRAIGHT - Four cards to a straight which can be completed by drawing a card at either end. E.g., 6-7-8-9 is an open-ended straight. Also: BOBTAIL STRAIGHT. Compare: INSIDE STRAIGHT.
- SHARK - A good/crafty player often posing as a fish early in the game.
- DEALER'S CHOICE - In home games, a rule that permits the dealer to name which poker game to be played that hand. Often limited to selecting from a list provided.
- WHITE BLACKBIRD - A hand so astonishingly rare as to be unworthy of the opponents' consideration, e.g., being dealt a pat royal flush in 5-card draw.
