With the $50,000 Players’ Championship starting on Friday for the high rollers and the $1,000 No Limit Hold’em tournament picking up action on Saturday, the top pros on Twitter kept their fans informed of their status in the events.
Microgaming, the worldwide leader in online gaming software, appears to be gearing up for the impending changes to the French online casino market. The company announced this week the successful submission of three significant operator applications to the National Regulatory Authority of the French (ARJEL) online gambling market, two of which are in partnership with 888 Holdings PLC. The move seems likely to develop a French poker network.
Twenty-one players remain in the $50,000 Player’s Championship at the 2010 World Series of Poker (WSOP). Leading the field is a familiar face, Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi, who owns a stack of 1.48 million chips entering Day 4. Hot on his heels with 1.43 million is Russia’s Vladimir Schmelev. Also appearing in the top 10 is Robert Mizrachi, the brother of “The Grinder.”
