This past weekend in online poker was relatively tame; sandwiched between the conclusion of PokerStars’ Spring Championship of Online Poker and the kick-off of the 2010 World Series of Poker, many players decided to recharge their batteries instead of playing all day. Luckily for them, one of the most anticipated TV episodes in recent memory – ABC’s LOST Season Finale – aired yesterday and made for some interesting banter on the Twittervine.
On today’s Daily Deal, the Cake Poker Network strikes a strategic partnership, the Asia Pacific Poker Tour crowns a new Macau champion, World Team Poker prepares another clash of nations, and Facebook users will continue to get their poker fix for some time to come.

Starting on June 2nd at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, Phil Laak will attempt to break the world record of 78 straight hours of playing poker. You read that right, 78 straight hours! Paul Zimbler currently holds the title, which was set in late 2009.
Saturday at Aria Resort & Casino at CityCenter, “The Ivey Room,” an exclusive high-stakes cash-game room named after Phil Ivey, was unveiled on Saturday and celebrated with a $1 million freeroll.
“I finally didn’t come in second on NBC,” Annie Duke exclaimed following her win in the 2010 National Heads-Up Poker Championship, whose finale played out on NBC on Sunday. Taking second fiddle to comedian Joan Rivers in the finals of the network’s “Celebrity Apprentice” last year, Duke triumphed over fellow poker pro Erik Seidel to become the first woman to win the annual heads-up contest.
