The new casino in Atlantic City, Revel, has taken a blow to its completion after the departure of a major source of its funding on Thursday.
The latest version of a bill licensing gambling in Massachusetts once again includes a measure criminalizing internet gambling and online poker. Massachusetts House Speaker Robert DeLeo is calling for a vote on the measure, which he introduced on Thursday, in two weeks.
On Thursday, Ultra Internet Media, the parent company of Everest Poker, filed a lawsuit against Harrah’s alleging breach of contract. Everest Poker is the official on-felt sponsor of the Harrah’s-backed World Series of Poker (WSOP).
