Poker dealer sues Sarasota Kennel Club for wages
By TODD RUGER A poker dealer has filed a lawsuit accusing the Sarasota Kennel Club of underpaying him and his colleagues. Jason Bartholomew’s lawsuit criticizes the One-Eyed Jacks poker room for paying dealers less than minimum wage, yet forcing dealers to pool tips and then share them with managers, directors and cashiers.

Poker argot:
- FOURTH STREET - In stud poker, the fourth card dealt to each player. Sometimes used to refer to the fourth community card dealt in Hold'em, although the more common term for this is TURN (q.v.).
- FACE CARD - A jack, queen or king (a card with a face on it, not joker).
- TURN - The fourth community card in Hold'em.
- STRAIGHT FLUSH - A hand consisting of 5 cards in sequence and the same suit.
- DRAW OUT - To catch a card that improves your situation from a losing hand to a winning hand, especially when you beat someone holding a hand that usually figures to win.
- FLOORMAN - The casino representative in charge of the card room or a section of a card room. Arbitrates disputes when unusual events happen.
