South Carolina Court Declares Poker Legal
Poker’s fight for legal recognition in the United States has been given a boost after a South Carolina court again declared poker to be a game of skill, not a game of chance.

Poker jargon:
- FOURTH STREET - In stud poker, the fourth card dealt to each player. Sometimes used to refer to the fourth community card dealt in Hold'em, although the more common term for this is TURN (q.v.).
- GUT SHOT - A draw to an inside straight, as in 2-3-4-6.
- QUALIFIER - A minimum standard that a hand must meet in order to win. Usually applied to the lowball side of a high-low split pot.
- STUCK - Down a nontrivial amount of money, as in "he's stuck $800".
- DOOR [CARD] - A player's first upcard in stud games.
- RIDER BACK (TM) - A brand of playing cards that feature a bicycle rider on the back of the cards. Often used in home games. Compare: BEE No. 92.
