Lady Gaga invited to bring her poker face to Irish Poker Festival
Pop princess Lady Gaga has been personally invited to play at Ireland s Poker Festival this week. The festival, hosted by bookmaker Ladbrokes , attracts a host of poker pros from around the world, but they have saved a special seat for the Poker Face singer in the main competition, where the winner will take home a guaranteed prize pool of 250,000 ($366,000).

- TIGHT - [1] A style of play that entails playing fewer hands than average. Antonym: LOOSE. [2] A FULL HOUSE.
- BOARD - The exposed cards in Hold'em and stud. Also BOARD CARDS.
- AMERICAN AIRLINES - In Hold'em, a pair of Aces in the hole. Better known (at least in rec.gambling) as POCKET ROCKETS.
- REPRESENT - Implying, by one's betting style, that one has a particular hand.
- TOURNAMENT - A highly structured game involving potentially dozens of tables where all participants pay an entry fee and obtain a fixed number of chips. Once a tournament has started, additional players may not enter. As the game progresses players bust out and are eliminated until only one winner remains.
- OUT - [1] A card that will improve your hand, often substantially. A hand with many OUTS is preferable to a hand with only 1 or 2. [2] Folded, ineligible to bet or win this hand. "I'm out" is often a synonym for "I fold".
