Annual poker run scheduled Saturday
The Solano STAR Chapter 315 Annual Poker Run is Saturday.All proceeds from the run benefit the developmentally disabled children through the Horseplay program. Sign-ins are from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at MACH 1 Motorsports, 510 Couch St., Vallejo. Cost is $25 per person, $45 per couple.

Poker dictionary:
- COMMUNITY CARDS - Cards that are available for every player to use in making a hand. Usually dealt face up somewhere in the middle of the table.
- POT - The total amount of money bet so far in a hand.
- SUITED - Two or more cards all the same suit. Ant: OFF-SUIT.
- BICYCLE - The best possible low hand: A-2-3-4-5. More common term: WHEEL.
- TOKE - Gambling term for "tip", as in "Toke the cocktail waitress". Comes from the term "Token of appreciation".
- HIT - To make a hand or catch a card or cards that improves one's hand. "I hit a gut-shot draw on the river."
