PartyGaming buys US poker firm
LONDON (SHARECAST) - PartyGaming , the online gaming and gambling group, has bought poker busines WPT Enterprises Inc. for a cash consideration of $12.3m, its first US acquisition since being forced out of the country in 2006.

- POT - The total amount of money bet so far in a hand.
- TIGHT - [1] A style of play that entails playing fewer hands than average. Antonym: LOOSE. [2] A FULL HOUSE.
- RAINBOW - In flop games, a flop in which no two cards are of the same suit. "The flop was A 9 7 rainbow."
- FLAT LIMIT - A variant of fixed limit where all bets are the same amount.
- PAT HAND - In draw poker, a hand that does not need any more cards. Specifically, a straight, flush, full house or straight flush. One might bluff and represent a pat hand but actually hold something else.
- BOAT - A FULL HOUSE, three of a kind and a pair.
