JACKSON A picnic and poker run to benefit special-needs children will be hosted by the Jackson Elks at their lodge, 1059 E. Veterans Highway, Jackson, on Aug. 22. Sign-up for the poker run will begin at 10 a.m. The picnic will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. The donation for the picnic is $20 per person, and will be free for children under age 12.
