UW-Whitewater grad wins another quarter million dollars in World Series of Poker
Eric Baldwin, a 26-year-old poker pro who graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and played on the school’s 2005 Division III national championship baseball team, pocketed another quarter million dollars Friday at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.

Poker dictionary:
- STAKE - The amount of a player's BUY-IN, or the amount of money they are willing to play with in a given session. Compare: BANKROLL.
- DOUBLE BELLY BUSTER - A two-way inside straight. E.g., 3-5-6-7-9.
- CUT - To break the deck into 2 stacks of at least 5 cards each. Usually performed by the player to the dealer's right to insure that the the deck is not stacked.
- HOUSE RULE - Rules and interpretations (e.g., use of wild cards, or rules on having to show beaten hands) that are specific to an establishment or even tables within the establishment.
- TRIPS - Three of a kind. In Hold'em the term SET is used when two of the three cards are hole cards.
- HOOK - A Jack. So named because the "J" resembles a hook.
