Feds Freeze Accounts Holding Online Poker Winnings

It looks as though the Southern District of New York has opened a new front in the war on Internet gambling. Federal prosecutors have asked Citibank, Wells Fargo and two smaller banks to freeze funds in accounts belonging to two companies that process payouts on behalf of four offshore poker sites, according to the Poker Players Alliance, a DC-based advocacy group.

RACE - In tournaments it is sometimes convenient to remove all lower-denomination chips from play, as the remaining players' stacks tend to grow. POT LIMIT - A game where the maximum bet is determined by the size of the pot at the time. Note that a player wanting to raise first calls the bet, then totals the pot to determine the maximum amount he can raise.
FLUSH - A poker hand consisting of five cards all one suit.
FLAT LIMIT - A variant of fixed limit where all bets are the same amount.
