LAS VEGAS - Top poker professionals and amateurs with deep pockets put up US$40,000 apiece Thursday to square off in the first major tournament at the World Series of Poker.

 

The friends and family of Kiesha Embrey, the four-year-old Wainfleet girl who is battling several debilitating illnesses, are holding a poker run on June 6 to help with the costs of the little girls medical care.

 

A field packed with poker’s biggest names descended upon the Rio on Thursday afternoon for opening-day action in the special ‘40th Annual’ tourney….
