New Titan Poker Players to Compete in Freerolls for $63,000
The massive iPoker Network room Titan Poker recently announced that new members will be able to compete for $63,000 in freerolls in May. The iPoker Network is the largest that does not accept customers from the United States.
Every new player who deposits on Titan Poker will receive five tokens into the site’s $20,000 New Depositors’ Freeroll. Players who sign up will be able to compete in five New Depositor Freeroll Satellites, which are held every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday at 20:00 GMT. The top 50 finishers in each Freeroll Satellite will gain entry into the $20,000 New Depositors’ Freeroll to be held at the end of every month. Because tokens to play in satellites are added manually to accounts by Titan Poker’s staff, they may take up to 72 hours to process. Tokens also expire after three months. The recurring $20,000 freeroll is one of the largest found online.
Titan Poker is also giving away a sporty Peugeot Coupe Cabriolet. A freeroll for the car will take place on June 5th and the grand prize comes with a $30,000 retail sticker. Features available on the car as it exists in the marketplace include a high-end JBL stereo system, adjustable seats, an adjustable steering column, and a Turbo High Pressure engine. According to Peugeot’s website, the roof can retract at speeds of up to 10 km/h and takes about 25 seconds. The process is completely automatic; all that is required is the push of a button. Each new depositor on Titan Poker will receive four tournament tokens to win the Peugeot Coupe Cabriolet. The freeroll’s winner may also claim $30,000 in cash in lieu of the car.
Like other online poker sites, Titan Poker is also feverishly qualifying its players to head to Las Vegas for the 2009 World Series of Poker (WSOP). The 2009 festivities begin on May 27th with the traditional $500 buy-in Casino Employees event. The next day marks the start of the $40,000 buy-in No Limit Hold’em tournament commemorating the 40th running of the WSOP. This year’s events will once again occur inside the Amazon Room at the Rio in Sin City. New Titan Poker depositors will receive one token into a Thursday tournament that awards five seats into the WSOP Main Event Super Satellite. In the latter event, $13,000 prize packages are up for grabs, consisting of the $10,000 Main Event buy-in, $850 for seven nights’ worth of accommodations at the Rio, $250 for tournament registration fees, and $1,900 for travel and spending. Players can also buy in directly for $535 and the first Super Satellite occurred on March 29th.
Titan Poker is also qualifying its members for Events #28 and #34, two $1,500 buy-in No Limit Hold’em preliminary events. The $6,000 prize package includes the two tournaments’ buy-in and registration fees, $950 for eight nights’ worth of accommodations at the Rio, and $1,800 in travel and spending money. The events begin on June 13th and June 16th, each running for three days. The Main Event kicks off on July 3rd with the first of four starting days. It will once again see its final table pushed back until November and will air on cable station ESPN on Tuesday, November 10th.
Finally, entries into the $10,000 World Championship of Pot Limit Omaha are available on Titan Poker. Each package is worth $13,000 and the prestigious tournament begins at the Rio on June 18th. Players can qualify for this and other WSOP events by playing in Super Satellites or a series of sit and gos. Players are encouraged to visit the Titan Poker Lobby for more information.
To fund their bankrolls for WSOP qualifiers, players on Titan Poker can claim special May bonuses. Up to $2,000 in pending bonuses are available for VIP members. Gold VIPs can receive $500 in pending bonuses, Platinum VIPs can take home $1,000, Titanium VIPs can snag $1,500, and Diamond VIPs can earn $2,000 in pending bonuses. The redemption rate is $5 for every 600 Titan Points, which are accrued based on the rake taken at real money ring game tables and tournaments.
