ESPN shuffles the deck for poker coverage
The World Series of Poker, which starts May 26 and runs through July 15 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, is a staple of the programming on ESPN. ESPN is going to make some changes for this year’s 40th anniversary celebration of the poker world’s greatest spectacle.

- THIRD STREET - In Stud, the third card dealt to each player.
- UNDER THE GUN - The position that has to act first in a round of betting.
- TAPPED [OUT] - Out of money. Can refer to a player running out of money in the course of a hand, thus still active for the main pot; or can refer to a player who has lost his bankroll and can no longer play.
- OPEN-HANDED - A category of games characterized by a part of each player's hand being exposed.
- RERAISE - To raise after an opponent has raised.
- FIFTH STREET - In stud poker, the fifth card to be dealt to each player. Sometimes used to refer to the last card dealt in Hold'em, although the more common term for this is RIVER (q.v.).
