Poker tournament will benefit 1736 Family Crisis Center
For many domestic violence victims, leaving the abuser can mean gambling with their life. Next week, poker players and fans who want to help victims beat the odds can put their money on the table at a Texas hold ‘em tournament to benefit the 1736 Family Crisis Center.

- EXPECTATION - The long-run [dis-]advantage of a given situation, specifically without reference to any particular outcome. I.e., what you figure to win [lose] on average after a large number of repetitions of the same situation.
- STACKED [DECK] - A deck that has been arranged to give one player a huge advantage. Also: RIGGED.
- FIFTH STREET - In stud poker, the fifth card to be dealt to each player. Sometimes used to refer to the last card dealt in Hold'em, although the more common term for this is RIVER (q.v.).
