Poker Chief Calls Joan Rivers’ Bluff
The head of the World Series of Poker dealt out some insults to comedienne Joan Rivers as he tried to defend the game and player Annie Duke from comments Rivers made on NBC”s “Celebrity Apprentice.”

Poker dictionary:
- OPENER - The player who opens the betting, especially in draw poker. A hand may have no openers, in which case it is PASSED OUT, i.e., new hands are dealt.
- CALLER - One who calls. Sometimes used collectively, as in "3 callers".
- ON THE COME - A situation where the player does not have a complete hand but hopes to make one if the right cards come up.
- RING GAME - A standard game where players can come and go as they choose. The opposite of TOURNAMENT.
- STEAM - Playing wildly, calling and raising a lot, because one is upset. Compare: ON TILT.
- TRIP - Three of a specific kind, as in "Trip sixes".
