Stories of bloody dresses, deadly poker games and a hastily buried body under the basement floor are the kind that may typically be heard over a round of beer at the famed Stone’s Public House.

 

With a $4,000/8,000 mixed game and a $1,000/2,000 NLHE/PLO game running in Bobby’s Room at the Bellagio, the online high-stakes tables were still a relative ghost town this week….

 

In last month’s column, I discussed strategies for the Bluff Poker Challenge. As of the end of March, anyone who wants to win has to go for broke and just play all of the biggest MTTs they can afford, hoping for a couple of sizable scores. Vadim Trincher won his way into the World Poker Tour (WPT) Championship by virtue of winning the Foxwoods Poker Classic earlier this month. He banked $731,000 in the tournament as well as a $25,000 seat into the end-of-season Championship, which kicked off on Saturday from the Bellagio in Las Vegas.
