Teen center to host Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament
LUNENBURG — Do you known when to hold ‘em? Do you know when to fold ‘em? The Chester Mossman Teen Center is hosting its second Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament on Saturday, April 25.

Poker lexicon:
- FOURTH STREET - In stud poker, the fourth card dealt to each player. Sometimes used to refer to the fourth community card dealt in Hold'em, although the more common term for this is TURN (q.v.).
- POSSIBLE [STRAIGHT/FLUSH] - Up cards that quite possibly could lead to a straight and/or a flush.
- QUALIFIER - A minimum standard that a hand must meet in order to win. Usually applied to the lowball side of a high-low split pot.
- HOUSE RULE - Rules and interpretations (e.g., use of wild cards, or rules on having to show beaten hands) that are specific to an establishment or even tables within the establishment.
- CHASE - To continue in a hand, often at poor odds, in the hopes of catching a much better hand. "He called, chasing the flush.".
- READ - To determine whether an opponent has a good, medium or bad hand by observing his personal behavior. An inexact science.
