Nipomo shopping center card room OKd
Poker is coming to Nipomo. With a 3-2 vote last Thursday, the San Luis Obispo County Planning Commission approved a four-table, nonalcoholic card room for the CVS shopping center on West Tefft Street.

Poker jargon:
- RAKE - Money taken from each pot and given to the house in return for hosting the game. Usually a percentage of the pot (5%-10%) up to some maximum amount.
- STUCK - Down a nontrivial amount of money, as in "he's stuck $800".
- SEAT POSITION - The actual seat a player has, normally numbered sequentially starting with 1 as the first seat to dealer's left. Not to be confused with POSITION in a particular pot. Typically unrelated to play of a hand but often important in peripheral aspects, e.g.: "Seats 1 and 10 are nonsmoking here", "Seat 5 has a good view of the table", "Seat 3 is in a high-traffic area".
- LOWBALL - Generic term for poker where the lowest hand wins.
- RERAISE - To raise after an opponent has raised.
- BOAT - A FULL HOUSE, three of a kind and a pair.
