Wellston man arrested using fireplace poker to assault girlfriend
NORMAN TWP. A 51-year-man is in jail after police say he hit his girlfriend in the back of her head with a fireplace poker Friday morning. Troopers from the Michigan State Police, Manistee post, responded to a domestic assault complaint in Norman Township, Manistee County about 11:25 a.m. Friday.
