The right time to flip a coin when playing poker
All fans of televised poker have heard a commentator use the terms, “coin flip” and “race situation,” to describe a big all-in altercation. These terms are typically used when a player with a pair risks it all against another player with two overcards, like pocket sixes versus A-K.

Poker terminology:
- FULL OF - Describes a full house. "Fives full of queens" is 5-5-5-Q-Q.
- BOARD - The exposed cards in Hold'em and stud. Also BOARD CARDS.
- WHITE BLACKBIRD - A hand so astonishingly rare as to be unworthy of the opponents' consideration, e.g., being dealt a pat royal flush in 5-card draw.
- EVEN-MONEY - A bet that pays off exactly the amount wagered. E.g., "Double or nothing" is an even-money bet.
- FILL - To draw a card that makes a five-card hand (straight, flush, full house, straight flush).
- HIT - To make a hand or catch a card or cards that improves one's hand. "I hit a gut-shot draw on the river."
