Wave of red supports Phillips at World Series of Poker final table
The St. Louis Cardinals were well represented Sunday at the World Series the World Series of Poker. St. Louis truck salesman Dennis Phillips, who began the day as the chip leader, is a big Cardinals fan. He and about 300 family members and supporters all sported red Cardinals cap and long-sleeve, white shirts with the logo of Broadway Truck Centers, where Phillips works in St. Louis.

Poker terminology:
- SHILL - A card room employee who plays with House money, and does not share in any of his (her) winnings or losses. Shills are used to facilitate starting games, and keeping them going. Compare: PROP.
- FREEROLL - [1] A poker tournament that does not charge a buy-in fee; players must earn buy-in credits through previous play at the same establishment. [2] Having a lock on part of a pot (sure to win a greater fraction of the pot than one is betting) and playing to win more or all of it.
- SCOOP - To take all of a pot that is normally split, either by winning both halves outright or winning one half when no players qualify for the other half.
- MAIN POT - The main pot, as related to one or more side pots, when there are one or more all-in player(s). The main pot is the one in which all active players participate.
- GUT SHOT - A draw to an inside straight, as in 2-3-4-6.
- EDGE - An advantage over an opponent, either specific or subjective.
