Final 9 meet in Vegas again for $9.12M poker crown
Sat, Nov 8, 2008 (11:18 p.m.) The wait is over for nine men to settle a $9.12 million bet. The final players at the World Series of Poker resumed play Sunday at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas to determine the champion at this year’s no-limit Texas Hold ‘em main event.

Poker glossary:
- LIVE [CARD] - In Stud, a card probably not held by other players.
- OVERPAIR - In Hold'em, a pair in the hole that is larger than any community card on the board.
- HOYLE - Edmund Hoyle (1769-?) was the authoritative source for rules of card games. Hoyle is to card rules as Webster is to word definitions.
- BLACK - When referring to chips, black usually stands for $100 casino chips. "This guy sits down with a stack of blacks and raises the first bet." Not ALL casinos use black for $100 but that is the common usage.
- STUCK - Down a nontrivial amount of money, as in "he's stuck $800".
- REPRESENT - Implying, by one's betting style, that one has a particular hand.
