Poker Players Alliance and Bluegrass Institute Hold Talks
The grassroots poker organization known as the Poker Players Alliance has teamed up with Kentucky’s Bluegrass Institute, an association of writers who keep an eye out on state public property, in order to discuss the ramifications if the state goes forward with plans to seize 141 online gambling and poker web site domain addresses. Discussions centered around topics that covered the rights of the state, national and international ramifications, and the future of internet freedoms should it go through. The move by Kentucky governor Steve Beshear to seize the domain names was put on hold by the judge reviewing the case.

- DRAWING DEAD - A draw in which it is impossible to obtain a winning hand for any of a variety of reasons: an opponent's hand is better than whatever you are drawing to, the card(s) that make your hand are out of play, or (in Hold'em) give an opponent a stronger hand even if it makes yours. Frequently used in the past tense, since one rarely knows it at the time.
