Annual poker run Oct. 11
The annual poker run to benefit Project Graduation will be held on Oct. 11. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. in the White County High School parking lot. At 10 a.m., the first bike is due to ride out.

Poker glossary:
- KICKER TROUBLE - Not having as high a kicker as an opponent.
- OPEN-ENDED STRAIGHT - Four cards to a straight which can be completed by drawing a card at either end. E.g., 6-7-8-9 is an open-ended straight. Also: BOBTAIL STRAIGHT. Compare: INSIDE STRAIGHT.
- COMMUNITY CARDS - Cards that are available for every player to use in making a hand. Usually dealt face up somewhere in the middle of the table.
- SEVENTH STREET - The seventh card dealt in 7-card stud.
- POSSIBLE [STRAIGHT/FLUSH] - Up cards that quite possibly could lead to a straight and/or a flush.
- CAP - To cap the betting is to make the last permitted raise in a round.
