The World Series of Poker Europe Main Event continues apace and the pro poker players continue to knock each other out of the running for the top prize. The biggest pro killer was John Juanda, who knocked out fellow pros Erick Seidel, Andy Bloch and Mel Judah on his way to accumulating chips. In the end the chip leaders, and the players at the final table, are Robin Keston, Daniel Negreanu, Chris Elliott, Bengt Sonnert, John Juanda, Ivan Demidov, Toni Hiltunen, Scott Fischman and Stanislav Alekhin, ending the hopes of Annette Obrestad fans that the young pro would pull off back to back wins.
*The Give a Kid a Backpack Foundation in Clermont will have a Texas Hold ‘Em poker tournament Saturday to raise money for the foundation. It begins at 6 p.m. at the Days Inn & Suites on U.S. Highway 27 near State Road 19 north of Clermont.
