Millions of dollars are made at online poker rooms all year round, but this might be the first time a poker room will have to pay out so much that wasn’t part of a poker tournament. The poker room in question is UltimateBet, the online home of WSOP legend Phil Hellmuth, which has been targeted for a $75 million lawsuit. The lawsuit cites claims that a long term cheating scandal - one in which UltimateBet employees could read other players’ hole cards, enabling them to beat them routinely - has resulted in damages worth the high figure.
