Online poker room PokerStars has recently announced a new version of their poker client for the Apple Macintosh crowd. Other poker rooms that have advertised software for the Mac in reality are offering a browser based version of their poker room, but PokerStars has come out with a software specifically designed for the Macintosh operating system, Mac OS X. World Series of Poker champion Joe Hachem is quoted in the PokerStars press release as saying the creative community will be happy with this announcement as they gravitate towards Macs.
The opening day of the 2008 Borgata Poker Open broke some records with a registration of 1,192 players and a $5 million guaranteed prize pool.
