Poker Players Choose Obama 2:1 over McCain
A survey of 1,639 U.S. poker players, conducted on DuplicatePoker.com, revealed that poker players intend to vote for Democratic presidential candidate Barak Obama two-to-one over Republican candidate John S. McCain. 1,043 players said they intend to vote for the Illinois senator versus 596 for the Arizona senator.

Useful poker terms:
- CALLER - One who calls. Sometimes used collectively, as in "3 callers".
- CHECK RAISE - To check initially, then raise a bet made later on in the same betting round. Frequently a sign of strength, but may be a bluff.
- PASS - Opposite of bet. To check, if checked to. To fold, if bet to.
- RAGS - Board cards that are small, not suited and not in sequence, e.g., 9-5-2. When "rags flop", it is unlikely that anyone has a good hand, except possibly the big blind in an unraised pot.
- QUALIFIER - A minimum standard that a hand must meet in order to win. Usually applied to the lowball side of a high-low split pot.
- STUD - Any of several poker games in which some of each players' cards are exposed.
