PartyGaming poker slowdown prompts downgrades
Online gaming firm PartyGaming reported a drop in the number of people playing its poker games in the last two months, overshadowing first-half results and prompting downgrades to earnings forecasts.

Poker terminology:
- PASS - Opposite of bet. To check, if checked to. To fold, if bet to.
- SUICIDE KING - King of Hearts. So named because in the drawing the king appears to be stabbing himself in the head.
- LOCK - A hand that cannot be beat under any circumstances. Also: NUTS.
- LOOSE - Playing more hands than the norm. Antonym: TIGHT.
- FOURTH STREET - In stud poker, the fourth card dealt to each player. Sometimes used to refer to the fourth community card dealt in Hold'em, although the more common term for this is TURN (q.v.).
- CASE - The fourth card of a particular rank, as in "he folded the case 9" when describing where all the 9s were in a hand. Comes from the game of Faro where an employee of the house, called the "case keeper". kept track of the number of each rank of card remaining.
