WSOP Academy and Los Angeles
The World Series of Poker Academy is coming to LA with a host of top notch poker instructors, giving the players of Los Angeles a chance to learn from the pros. Coming September sixth and running through the next day, the WSOP Academy will feature instructors such as Annie Duke and Kenny Tran, both World Series of Poker bracelet holders, as well as former FBI profiler and poker tells expert Joe Navarro. At the end of the first day of training a private poker tourney will be held to test players’ skills, with a huge prize up for grabs - a $5,000 seat to a WSOP Circuit event.

Poker talk:
- KICKER TROUBLE - Not having as high a kicker as an opponent.
- SIXTH STREET - The sixth card dealt in 7-card stud.
- LOWBALL - Generic term for poker where the lowest hand wins.
- JOKER - A 53rd card in the deck, distinct from the others, used as a wild card or as a BUG.
- FOURTH STREET - In stud poker, the fourth card dealt to each player. Sometimes used to refer to the fourth community card dealt in Hold'em, although the more common term for this is TURN (q.v.).
- MILES OF BAD ROAD - Three of a kind. Prefixed with a number, 3*<N>, to indicate 3 <N>s. Thus "24 miles of bad road" is 3 eights, etc. (This obviously doesn't work for face cards.)
