NEWBERRY COUNTY, SC (WIS) - A second reading for a video poker proposal saw a unanimous decision Wednesday from Newberry County Council members. Under it, video poker would replace property taxes. The county council had approved a first reading that would put the referendum on the November ballot.

A “Poker Run Fun Charity Trail Ride” will take place in the Colliers Mills Wildlife Park in Ocean County on Oct. 18. The trail ride, hosted by In Recess Farm, will benefit the Reindancer Therapeutic Riding Center in New Egypt.
